First 1st Grade SEPs

Tonight Brian and I took Heber to SEPs with his first grade teacher Mrs. VanFleet. Heber was looking forward to having his parents meet his teacher and he could hardly wait to go to the book fair afterward.

Every week they do a "Weekend Report" and write about the things they did that weekend. I LOVE these journal entries. It is very fun to see what he thinks are highlights.

Mrs. VanFleet laughed as she told us about one weekend report where Heber wrote about how Jake, (our next door neighbor) and the other kids in the block get to stay up so late and he has to go to bed at 8 o'clock. He wrote, "I told my mom that it isn't fair, and my mom said, 'life's not fair.'" haha! Mrs. VanFleet thought it was pretty funny. Haha.

Funny, I remember being the child that went to bed at 8 while the rest of the neighborhood stayed up. Life wasn't fair then either:)

That's great. I wish that I had journal entries from when I was that age. Missing you guys!
