It started about 10 years ago. I'm not totally sure how it happened, but it was something like this. I'm guessing me and Laura were sitting around and then we realized it was the 5th of March! We were like, 'Cool, it's cinco de....Marcho...' And then laughed at our lame mistake. Well, since then we've kept it as our own personal holiday. The last two years we have made a bigger deal about it and invited family over to my mom's for a fiesta. This years fiesta included YUMMY pork burritos, home made salsa, lemonade, some brazillian drink, a pinata, and delicious fried ice cream. It was a great celebration. Here are some pictures.

Haha. I looks like it was fun. We missed out. That is so funny that Heber thinks it is real, and yet, why wouldn't he? It has been celebrated his whole life. :) Happy Cinco De Marcho. Did you guys try and jump over the fence this year?
HAHAHAHA i totally forgot about how we wanted to try to "cross the border" for one of our games... oh well, there's always next year.
yeah, we wanted to keep that out so we didn't look like we were making fun of any one. It is just a great day to eat yummy Mexican food and have a pinata.
oh that is so cute! I love it!
HA. That's great. Thanks for the text message, by the way. I celebrated it by standing in line for 10 years while waiting to buy some gummies at the store.
p.s. is that Jared in that pic? I don't think i've seen him since he was a wee lad. Cuh-razy!
p.p.s. all parties should have pinatas.
You missed us this year too! US! The whole crossing the border thing went bust last year when everyone found out Dan's dad's from Mexico. haha.
Rachel, me & Clint & Landon missed you guys too.
That's awesome!
