Day One at Disneyland

The trip was great and we got our fill of Disneyland. There is just SOO much to do there that last year when we left we wanted to come back and finish stuff and feel like we officially finished Disneyland.

First of all we got a great hotel. It was right next to Disneyland and because the water was shut off the first night we were there, we got a free suite upgrade! 66 bucks a night for a suite right next to the park was fan-nominal.
This was us waiting in line at the new Finding Nemo ride. The wait-to-thrill ratio wasn't very good. But yeah, fun.
After the Nemo ride we were right there for the Jedi training camp. Heber has really been in to star wars and he loved this. He didn't want to volunteer to go up, but he loved watching. His first ride was Star Tours. And Brian said he just sat there clutching the sides of the seat. After it was over, he started crying! Poor kid. We had to explain to him that it was like a movie and wasn't real. After that, he kept saying things were just like a movie.

Autotopia was a favorite of Heber's....especially because he got to go twice. I'd go with him on a ride and then Brian would go. It was good fun.

This was the Grizzly River Run. I liked this ride a lot. Brian is there in the gray shirt. We got used to going on rides by ourselves. haha. It sounds pathetic when they ask how many are with your party and you reluctantly hold up one finger.... but you get over it.

I wanted to to the Playhouse Disney live on stage. It was alright and good to sit down for awhile, but I don't think Heber liked it too much....which was why we were there. But he doesn't know the playhouse disney shows.

All in all day 1 was fun. We were kind of getting into the swing of things and the next few days were better. Jack loved the first day. He had energy and just loved being outside in the nice warm weather.
