I've gotta do this. I love reading other peoples. So I must add mine to the pot.
Where did you meet your husband?
I met Brian in our Montecello student ward at BYU.
What was the first thing he said to you?
We had been in the same ward for a few months and introductions were pretty much over when he had his roommate introduce me to him. I knew his roommate because he hung out with one of my roommates.
His roommate was like, ‘Hey Michelle, this is my roommate Brian.’ I turned around in my desk at church. That’s right. We had church in the testing center and all sat in desks for sacrament meeting. I turned around and asked him where he was from. He told me he was from Vegas and I remember saying, “Wow….a lot of lights eh?”
When was your first date?
After I was introduced to him we didn’t really do much. It was a few months later at the beginning of spring term that we started hanging out with Lamar…a friend of Brian’s. Jen and I would hang out with Lamar and Brian and we decided I was going to like Lamar. Well, that didn’t really work because I think Lamar was pretty interested in Jen and Brian was interested in me. So after hanging out a bunch and switching my sights to Brian instead of Lamar, Brian asked me out. We doubled with Jen and Lamar and we …..what did we do? Haha. I think we had dinner. All I remember is we played pudding pictionary at our apartment. And we got in a pudding fight.
When was your first kiss?
Brian and I would go for long walks at night and talk for hours. It was so great to have a guy I could really talk to. He kept joking about how many points he had because when he would do something good I’d be like, ‘Point for Brian.’ So one night he was like, ‘So how many points do I need to have before I can….’ And trailed off. They were beautiful warm summer nights in Provo and we were walking around the Provo temple talking. We went and sat under one of the trees and it was time. Haha. It was SO terrible! Haha. I have to admit it was my first kiss and he knew it. I remember thinking it was so weird. And the only thing I said was, ‘Your face is like right there!’ haha. Oh man.
Long/short courtship/ engagement?
About a month after our first kiss Brian started talking about getting married. This freaked me out and we basically broke up because I didn’t want to get married. To him everything made sense in his head, so why not get married. Move to the next step. The next day Brian realized he probably shouldn’t pressure me into getting married right away. He told me he would wait for me for as long as I wanted. Jen and I were planning a trip to France after graduation where she would study French and I would go to culinary school. Yes, I did ruin our francetrip. So, I guess because he gave me control, I decided we should get married soon. Control. Gotta love it.

When did you get married?
We got married on November 2, 2001.

Where did you Honeymoon?
http://www.bbonline.com/ut/skyridge/ All I can say is this website looked a lot better than it was. We stayed there for 2 nights and left. We decided to go hiking at Zions and we stayed in Cedar City. Zions in November is beautiful. It made up for the weird B and B. However, my cousin Rachel ended up staying in the exact same place for her honeymoon and they loved it.
Ah, great story. Brian is fabulous and I am glad we aren’t dating anymore!

And I remember that you accused mom of wanting you to get married just so she could make you a wedding dress. :)
CUTE! I love hearing these stories! You guys are so cute! BYU huh? Pretty original!
That's pretty funny what casey said. Is it true? What a great story, fun, fun, fun! :)
Yes, what Casey said was true. haha. I didn't want to get married because I was scared. I really didn't have any other reason. My mom was trying to talk some sense into me and I told her she just wanted to make a wedding dress. Yes, one of my prouder moments. Haha.
Brian is for the birds
Ohhh! oh! I love this! those pictures are sooo great. I do not remember that pudding date at ALL, or that picture. I was like, what the? is that ME? So fun, Michelle. :D
Yes, i was upset that you were going to ruin our francetrip, (<-- i love how inside of a joke that is) but I just had to accept it. I remember Brian came to the mall--UHHH-location where i worked and talked to me about you and it was really cute. high fives, Brian. Good man. I knew you two were meant for each other because you both, individually, could make me do "the hard laugh" which is no easy feat. That was a pretty fun summer, though. Oh, Lamar. It just wasn't meant to be.
Anyway, i could go on and on. Great story, mich.
So many things I didn't know! But I did remember the "you just want to make a wedding dress" part. haha. Well written.
