I Want A List Of Books!

So, we go to the library often. I get books that are referred to me (usually by Brooke or Jen), but books for Heber, I just grab them. Lately I have checked-out a lot of strange children books. I really don't know how some of those get published.

We grabbed this book for Heber and I thought it was pretty funny!

Another author I love is Sandra Boynton. Her books are creative and I like them as much as Heber does.

So, what are your favorite books you had as a kid or your favorite books you read to your kids?

OK, this was actually going to be my next post as well. Weird.

Jared loves the Frog and Toad series by Arnold Lobel, and I did too as a child. Anything by Lobel is great.

yay!! I love childrens books. My favorite author of all time is Roald Dahl. I mean, he is so, so great. So anything by him. I recently read "Boy: tales of childhood" or something and it's a specifically NON-autobiography he wrote about his childhood. He's so funny and real and it's great. You can see where he got a lot of ideas for his books.

I love Frog & Toad too... ohh memories..

We just finished listening to James and the Giant Peach on tape. Good memories indeed.

My favorite book when I was little was From the Mixed up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. It is about 2 kids who save their lunch money and then run away from home and live in the Met in NYC. I always planned to do the same.

I love the book with "The Forks", however, I haven't read it yet so I don't know if it is one I would read to Landon. I probably wouldn't because he doesn't have a very long attention span.

I like all the stuff by Sandra Boynton (I think that's her name). I also enjoy the "Toot and Puddle" series by Holly Hobbie. Super cute, and beautiful illustrations. My nephew loves "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!" and it teaches the alphabet, so that's rockin. Eric Carle is also good.

I love Sandra Boynton! And Frog and Toad. There's also another one... Small Bear? Something about a little bear and his mom. Little Bear? Yes.
